Collagen Stimulator

Rebuild your natural collagen — not just fill the gaps

Sculptra works differently than traditional fillers. Instead of injecting volume, it stimulates your body to produce its own collagen — restoring facial fullness gradually, naturally, and for two years or more.

Understanding Sculptra

Not a filler. A collagen rebuilder.

Starting in our late twenties, we lose about 1% of our collagen every year. That's why faces gradually lose fullness — temples hollow, cheeks flatten, and the jawline softens. Most people assume filler is the only answer, but there's a smarter approach.

Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible material that's been used safely in medicine for decades. When injected, it acts as a scaffold that triggers your body's own collagen production. Over weeks and months, your skin rebuilds from the inside out — restoring volume that looks and feels like you, not like filler.

Traditional Fillers

  • Add volume instantly with gel material
  • Results visible same day
  • Last 6–18 months typically
  • Volume is from the product itself
  • Can sometimes look "done" if overfilled

Sculptra

  • Stimulates your body to produce its own collagen
  • Results build gradually over weeks and months
  • Lasts 2+ years — often longer
  • Volume is from your own natural collagen
  • Looks incredibly natural because it is natural

The Process

What to expect from your Sculptra treatment

From consultation to collagen production, here's how the journey unfolds.

01

Consultation & Assessment

Lyndsay evaluates your facial structure, discusses your goals, and determines if Sculptra is the right approach. She'll create a customized treatment plan tailored to your anatomy.

02

Treatment Day

After numbing the treatment areas, Lyndsay strategically injects Sculptra into targeted areas. The appointment takes about 30–45 minutes. You can return to your day immediately.

03

The 5-5-5 Massage

You'll massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days after treatment. This helps distribute Sculptra evenly for smooth, natural results.

04

Collagen Builds Over Time

Over the following weeks and months, your body produces new collagen in the treated areas. Results continue to improve with each session and for months after your final treatment.

Results Timeline

Patience pays off — beautifully

Sculptra is not instant gratification. It's a long game with a long reward. Here's what the timeline looks like.

Day 1–3

Initial Swelling

Some volume from the injection fluid and mild swelling — this is temporary and will subside.

Week 1–2

Settling Phase

Initial swelling resolves. The treatment area may look like nothing happened yet — this is completely normal.

Week 4–6

Collagen Begins

New collagen starts forming. You may notice subtle improvements in skin quality and early volume restoration.

Month 3–6

Visible Transformation

After your complete series, full results become visible. Cheeks look lifted, temples filled, and the jawline more defined — naturally.

Year 2+

Long-Lasting Results

Your new collagen continues to provide structure and volume. Many patients maintain beautiful results for over two years.

Is It Right For You?

Sculptra might be perfect for you if…

  • You've noticed your face looks thinner, flatter, or more hollow than it used to
  • You want to restore volume without looking "done" or overfilled
  • You prefer gradual, natural results over an instant change

  • You want to treat temples, cheeks, jawline, or overall facial volume loss
  • You're interested in stimulating your own collagen rather than injecting a synthetic gel

Not sure if Sculptra is right for you? Lyndsay can help you decide during a consultation — no pressure, just honest advice.

Treatment Areas

Sculptra is incredibly versatile. It's FDA-approved for the correction of shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds, and is commonly used to restore volume in these areas:

Temples

One of the first areas to hollow with age. Sculptra restores a smooth, youthful contour.

Cheeks & Midface

Rebuilds the fullness that gives your face its youthful "apple" shape — without the overfilled look.

Jawline & Chin

Adds definition and structure to the lower face for a more sculpted profile.

Overall Volume Loss

For faces that have thinned generally over time, Sculptra restores an overall healthy, refreshed fullness.

FAQ

Common Questions About Sculptra

Sculptra is less well-known than traditional fillers, so it's natural to have questions. Here are the ones we hear most.

How is Sculptra different from dermal fillers?
Traditional fillers like Juvederm or Restylane add volume by injecting a gel (usually hyaluronic acid) that physically fills in lines and hollows. Sculptra works completely differently — it stimulates your body to rebuild its own collagen over time. The result is a gradual, natural-looking restoration rather than an instant "filled" look. Think of fillers as paint and Sculptra as primer — Sculptra rebuilds the foundation.
When will I see results?
Sculptra is a slow burn — and that's the beauty of it. You may notice some initial volume from the injection itself, but that fades within a few days. The real results begin to emerge around 4–6 weeks after each session as your body produces new collagen. Most patients see the full effect after their complete series, with results continuing to improve for several months.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients need 2–3 treatment sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, depending on the degree of volume loss and your individual goals. During your consultation, Lyndsay will assess your facial structure and create a customized plan. Some patients with mild volume loss may only need two sessions, while others benefit from three.
Does Sculptra hurt?
Sculptra is mixed with lidocaine (a numbing agent) before injection, and we apply topical numbing cream beforehand. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure or a slight pinch. The treatment is very well-tolerated, and Lyndsay takes her time to ensure your comfort throughout.
How long does Sculptra last?
This is where Sculptra really shines. Because it stimulates your body's own collagen production, results typically last 2 years or more — significantly longer than most traditional fillers, which last 6–18 months. Many patients find they need less maintenance over time as their collagen foundation is rebuilt.
Who is a good candidate for Sculptra?
Sculptra is ideal for adults who are experiencing facial volume loss due to aging — hollowing in the cheeks or temples, a less defined jawline, or overall thinning of the face. It's a great option if you want subtle, natural-looking results rather than an obvious "work done" look. It's not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Lyndsay will evaluate your specific concerns during your consultation.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal. You may experience some swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites for 24–72 hours. Bruising is possible but typically mild. Most patients return to their normal routine immediately. Lyndsay will give you specific aftercare instructions, including a simple massage technique to perform at home for a few days after treatment.
